Twice a Triple J unearthed #1 online chart topper (Individual, My Everything), Lecia Louise is an Australian songwriter, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and singer. Her musical style contains elements of rock, blues, country, soul, and improv. Lecia’s music has seen her perform in Hong Kong, London, The USA, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, The Netherlands, The Solomon Islands, New Zealand and around Australia.

An award-winning songwriter and performer, Lecia’s original music has been featured on cable TV (Sydney), and radio stations nationally and internationally. Lecia has shared the bill with James Morrison, Jon Stevens (INXS, Noiseworks), Grinspoon, The Black Sorrows, Ross Wilson (Mondo Rock, Daddy Cool), The Fabulous Caprettos (Russell Morris, Dave Gleeson, Ray Thistlethwayte, Jack Jones), The Baby Animals, Sarah McLeod, Suzi Quatro, Jimmy Barnes, Bob Spencer, Dragon, Phil Emmanuel, Daryl Braithwaite and many others.  Lecia has played at Woodford Folk Festival, Woodford’s Dreaming Festival, Gympie Muster, Adelaide guitar festival (also a guitar tutor for the guitar winter school in 2022), Blues on Broadbeach, Rock the Boat, Deni Ute Muster, Mullumbimby Festival, Kickass Festival, The Quicksilver Pro, West End Festival, and more.

Starting from the beginning, Lecia’s debut EP, Heaven or Hell was released in 2005. The bonus track from this CD Called Reynold Waters received a highly coveted top ten chart position in the Music Oz instrumental song writing competition. Brian Cadd (Axiom, Little River Band, Glen Shorrock, Tina Arena, ‘Little Ray of Sunshine’) referred to Lecia’s song ‘Fly’ from her debut EP, as “fabulous”. In 2009, Lecia was invited to perform with Brian on his “Morning of The Earth” tour.

Her debut album Into Being was released in 2009 and remastered in 2015 and has since been added to a number of radio stations in the USA, Australia and New Zealand. ‘Hoops’ was played on New York radio station “Mary’s Magical Music Show”. The rock inspired song ‘Little Girl’ received the highest number of votes on USA internet college radio in March 2011. This saw three more songs from the album get placed on high rotation on their play lists. The opening track ‘These Walls’ was placed on The Gold Coast Industry Association’s Band Tag compilation. The acoustic version of ‘Honiara’ from the album was played on Australian nationwide radio station Triple J, on the Roots ‘n All show in 2016 after her return to Australia from the riots in Honiara, The Solomon Islands.

Lecia released her EP Per Te, which includes the award-winning track ‘Individual’. It charted at #1 position for 3 weeks on the JJJ unearthed charts and was also awarded first place in Griffith’s ‘Out of the Blue competition. Per Te also includes the singles, ‘Shock Me’ and ‘For You’, which had film clips produced by Dan Macarthur (The Waifs, Powderfinger, John Butler Trio). The songs were produced by Jeff Lovejoy (Kate Miller-Heidke, Powderfinger, Regurgitator, Resin Dogs) and Lecia, at Blackbox Studios in Brisbane Australia. Lecia has since released EPs, Live at Serotonin Studios (2019), Presenting (2021) and Power and Passion (2023), and her Live at Blues on Broadbeach - Tell That Devil (2024) full length album and video. In 2020, her single ‘My Everything’ (from the Power and Passion EP) made it to #1 on the JJJ Unearthed charts. â€‹

Lecia has been working on her next album which she started recording in Nashville in 2019. The foundations of this album were recorded in Nashville and then brought back to Queensland where she recorded and tracked at home and in various studios around the south east such as Record Works and Red Engine studios.  The pandemic slowed down the recording process but Lecia then picked it back up and has been working hard getting these tracks finished with the goal of releasing it in 2025.  Lecia has been producing this album herself as well as with some exceptional producers such as Michael Flanders, Steve James, Jason Millhouse, Rick Hollis and 8Ball Aitken. There's been some renowned players on there too, such as Malcolm Foster (Simple Minds, the Pretenders), Ian Peres (The Whitlams, Wolfmother), Cameron McGlinchey (The Screaming Jets, Rogue traders) as well as Great local talent.

The new single, 'One man' was released February 19 and has already been added to ABC, made it to top 5 in the AMRAP regional charts, CMAA, many playlists and multiple radio stations. 'One Man' was a collaboration with 8Ball Aitken, and had the production finished with the legendary James Black (The Black Sorrows, RocKwiz), and with some input from the acclaimed Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool, Mondo Rock, ARIA Hall of fame.) Lecia graduated with a Bachelor of Popular Music with Honours in 2004 and has been a sought after guitarist ever since as well as being a performing artist in her own right.
